The United Church of Hinesburg has ties to the American Baptist, United Church of Christ and United Methodist churches. We welcome all visitors and participants, including those who do not choose official membership.
The 5th Annual Hearts for Hunger 5K Fun Run & Walk was held on Saturday, May 20th. We have raised over $6,300 so far and donations are still being accepted at:

The church office will be closed in observance of Independence Day.
Knitting/Crocheting Group First and Third Wednesday of the month 12:30-2:00pm
Bring whatever you're currently working on to the Parish Hall for a time of fellowship with other knitters, crocheters, cross-stitchers, etc. We may discuss possible projects for the Holiday Bazaar or our prayer shawl mission. Beginners are welcome!

Open Table Diner Friday, July 28th 5:30-7:00pm
Join us for our monthly free community meal in the Parish Hall hosted by community neighbor and professional chef, Michael McEnerney. The menu includes meatloaf logs, fresh greens, salad, ice cream and watermelon. Donations this month are targeted to support the Hinesburg Community Resource Center's Friends of Families program.

Practicing God-talk Sunday, July 30th during coffee hour
We will discuss “How the British developed a taste for religion in politics” by Catherine Pepinster from Religion News Service (June 2017). Nick Spencer, director of the religion think tank Theos, comments: “Society is much more pluralistic today. . . For many people now the default is not religion. So when we have a believing politician, many people don’t know what having faith is, so they are fascinated by it.” A related biblical theme: “This new teaching sounds rather strange to us , so we would like to know more what it means (Acts 17:19-20 about Paul’s preaching in Athens).
