Who Are We?

We are farmers, teachers, lawyers, and carpenters. We are writers, executives, nurses and engineers. We are retirees, students, parents and empty nesters.  We are a truly multi-generational church with all the liveliness that entails.

Located in rural Vermont, on the outskirts of Burlington, the United Church of Hinesburg is a community church that values inclusivity, friendship, faith and service. Our members and friends come to us from diverse faith (and no faith) backgrounds, different towns and communities throughout Vermont, and a wide range of personal experiences.

Today we maintain our connection to three original historic denominations, working with other local and national faith communities. In 2011, UCH was designated an Open and Affirming, Welcoming and Affirming and Reconciling Congregation by our three denominations. These designations are important to us and define both who we are and the work we do.
